Photography

I purchased my first DSLR camera on February 26th, 2011 and hope to learn to shoot in manual.  I don't aspire to be a professional photographer by any means, just an active hobbyist.  My main subjects will be my children and family, our dog, and nature. I do intend to venture outside and get some decent travel photos during future family vacations.

What did I purchase and what equipment do I have?

• Camera: Canon EOS Rebel T2i
• Lenses: Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8,  Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS
• Butterfly Filter
• UV Lens Cover
• Portrait set-up with floor molding and backdrop and fake hardwood made of bulletin board paper.
• Various props for newborns and children. 

What do I hope to purchase to feed my increasingly pricey new hobby?

• Lenses: I really don't know for sure what I'll want/need until I learn more about my camera, but I have my eye on these or the equivalent Tamron brand-

                   Canon EF-S 50mm either f/1.4 or f/1.8
                   Canon EF-S 35mm f/1.4

              

• Seamless backdrop
• Speedlite (still need to research these more)
• Backdrop stand
